Where are you from?
I am from the amazing city of Vilnius, Lithuania.
Who are your biggest artistic influences?
Oh, there are so many influences. From a young age, one of the biggest influencers was Bryan Adams. However, my first influence was my grandfather. He sat me down on his lap and sang Lithuanian folklore songs. I can’t remember the lyrics; I just kept some melodies in my heart. I was 6 years old when he passed away, but honestly, it was a magical time filled with music. I think he influenced me to start singing. After some time, I also discovered Bryan Adams’ music, which left a profound impact on me. His soulful melodies and heartfelt lyrics resonated deeply, and it inspired me to pursue my passion for music even further. While I briefly tried learning to play the trumpet, I realized that my true calling was in singing. Bryan Adams’ influence, coupled with the musical memories of my grandfather, played a significant role in shaping my musical journey. I am forever grateful for the inspiration they’ve brought into my life.
Tell me about how your creation part begins, and how is your workflow.
It’s difficult to pinpoint one specific process as my creative journey varies. Melodies often strike me randomly – while rushing somewhere or immersed in nature. I save these inspirations in a voice memo app. Later, I review them and choose the most resonant ones to develop further. Sometimes, lyrics naturally align with the melodies, while other times, I play piano chords to spark new melodies and lyrics. Music is an intuitive and magical expression for me.
Where do you find inspiration?
My biggest inspiration comes from people. Connecting and sharing stories with others fuels my creativity. Nature and the world around me also play a role, but it’s human connection and emotions that truly spark my musical ideas.
When is your favorite time of day to create your music?
I don’t have a specific favorite time of day to create my music. Inspiration strikes me unexpectedly, often when I’m running late or in a hurry. It seems that any moment can become the perfect time to create. I trust my instincts, and whenever I feel that creative spark, I seize the opportunity to bring my musical ideas to life.
Describe how art is essential to society nowadays
Art is essential to society nowadays as it fosters expression, communication, and cultural preservation while promoting emotional well-being and stimulating creativity. Its influence spans various aspects of life, enriching culture, and sparking meaningful conversations.
What motivates you to create?
What motivates me to create is the profound love I have for singing and the deep connection I feel with my music. When I sing my songs, my heart becomes a part of the melody, and my emotions flow through each note. This powerful connection drives me to create music that is sincere and heartfelt.
My ultimate motivation is the desire to touch the hearts of others through my music. When my voice resonates with the emotions of my audience, I know that my art has made a meaningful impact. It’s this incredible ability to connect with people on an emotional level that fuels my creativity and keeps me inspired to create more.
Does art help you in other areas of your life?
Yes, both my passion for music and photography have a significant influence on various aspects of my life. My love for music enhances my creativity and emotional expression, and I often find it inspiring me in my photography work. Conversely, my interest in photography nurtures my eye for detail and aesthetics, which translates into more visually appealing and user-friendly designs in my role as a software developer. Overall, the combination of music and photography has enriched my life, providing a balance of creative outlets that positively influence each other.
How do you develop your art skills?
To develop my art skills, I sing every day, do vocal exercises, and work with a vocal coach. I believe in the power of practice and learning from both successes and failures along the way.
What is your next move?
My next move is to embark on creating my first Lithuanian song. I have many plans with music, and I am incredibly excited to venture into the world of Lithuanian music. It will be my first time attempting to sing professionally in Lithuanian, and I can’t wait to explore this new creative journey.
Where will we see you in 5 years?
In five years, I envision myself continuing to grow as a person, staying true to my values, and striving to be the best version of myself. As for my music aspirations, I hope to achieve significant milestones. My dream is to release not just one, but two albums – one tailored for my beloved Lithuanian audience, and another for my fans around the world. Dreaming big is a wonderful thing, and I’m determined to work hard and make these dreams a reality.
We wish you all the best in the future and hope to hear new music soon.
