“Kenjah David” official “LATIN AFROSIA” song
Featuring “Osamu Sakurai” guitar and Ella Beth back vocals, introducing the Tay Ho expat community and salsa community of Hanoi Vietnam. The video has been created for over a year in Hanoi and the French island of Martinique in the Caribbean. It’s a song of Unity, a fusion of Latin and Caribbean vibes collected along the way.

Kenjah David is a French singer and music producer living around the world, studying and performing World music along with internationally renowned artists. Among his achievements, an official song for the United Nations international volunteering program in Manhattan NY, Emissary of French music in South East Asia with the French Embassy. Kenjah sings and speaks fluently in Japanese, French, English, and Spanish Mauritian, he lives in between South East Asia and France. He performs shows at the National Opera of Vietnam and major music scenes in South East Asia

Where are you from?
I am from Paris France, with Moroccan, Spanish, and Dutch background, I have spent half of my life around the World.

World music artists, to name a few: Kaya from Mauritius island, Hector Lavoe, Bob Marley, Henry Salvador, Harry Bellafonte, Juan Carmona,

Tell me about how your creation part begins, and how is your workflow:
The creation process starts in my home studio either in Paris or Hanoi Vietnam, it’s a mix of slowly cooked acoustic and digital recordings.
The year 2024 will see the release of many tracks and concepts created during and after the lockdown, mostly in Hanoi and the Caribbean.

Where do you find inspiration?

I get inspired during jams and music sessions with friends, i believe inspiration comes from everyday stories of common people, as well as unpredictable moments of jam. i also spend long hours away from the phone to get deeper into my inspiration process

When is your favorite time of day to create your music?

It’s nighttime, while in a quiet environment, without noises and distractions. But if at any moment of the day if any inspiration, we sometimes tend to forget ideas that flow through our mind so I take notes or record it on video straight away.

Describe how art is essential to society nowadays

Art is a language without borders, so I naturally enjoy listening to colorful inspirations from different countries. Music is moving geographically and evolving in its new environment, it is ethereal yet essential to bind us all to higher senses, we are at the genesis of a robotic and AI revolution, but humans will always need humane arts as matter to exchange deep emotions between our kind.

What motivates you to create?

The rush to express myself in art comes deep within a will to express what’s truly inside my heart and soul, it’s indubitably a testimony to our passage on Earth and a legacy to our children and a unique generation in time and space. My biggest motivation is toward unity and different expressions of love and spirituality.

How do you define success as a music artist?

  • Share love and compassion, make a living as any highly consecrated job

It helps me to release tensions : ), carries me through the day in a spiritual journey
