“Victory” is a triumphant anthem for the superheroes in all of us by Sonix!

We have been reached by a new great artist, who is making his way in the music sky. Always wonderful when we get new music and now we have had the honor of interviewing the artist SONIX. Don’t miss this our faithful readers and listeners!

Where are you from?
I’m from New York City.

Who are your biggest artistic influences?
My biggest musical influences were Prince for the fact that when I started he was the only one I could find that did both the technical and the creative. I decided I needed to be self reliant and have the ability to write, produce, arrange AND mix master and engineer my own productions and creations before it was popular. I came front the analog domain and now I work in the digital. I always embrace technology.

Tell me about how your creation part begins, and how is your workflow.
Sometimes I just hear melodies, Rythms chord progressions and sometimes I hear the whole thing in my mind and it just comes to me, or I will sit down and start playing the piano and I will have a spark. It always stems from a spark of an idea that I will work through until I have a finished song.

Where do you find inspiration?
I find inspiration everywhere. Being from NYC I hear car doors slam in rythm, sirens blaring, trains you name it. It all adds to my inspiration.

When is your favorite time of day to create your music?
My favorite time of day to create is a night. I don’t have many interruptions. That’s when I can completely dive into the music. It’s my time of peace and tranquility.

Describe how art is essential to society nowadays
Art is essential because music always you to escape everyday life or bring joy when you are sad make you smile, it’s more than just a backdrop of your life it’s woven into each and everyday.

What motivates you to create?
I stay motivated because music is a part of me, it’s in my fiber. Can’t have one without the other. So I don’t ignore the gift or talent God gave me. It’s a blessing to be able to share it with others and uplift someone’s spirit even for a moment.

How do you define success as a music artist?
I define success by the ability to continue to do it. It’s the continuation that makes it a success. If you look at the number of streams or awards as a success you will plateau because you have reached your pinnacle.

Does art help you in other areas of your life?

How do you develop your art skills?
I develop are and skill by continuing to try new things never rest on your past. I’m forward thinking so I don’t even think about yesterday much.

What is your next move?
My next move is to release my next album Love Crusade 2.0. Which will be released 8.8.2024

Where will we see you in 5 years?
In five years I will continue to make music to uplift us all and developing my record label and other artist, as well as other business ventures.

Thanks, Sonix for your time!
