Where are you from?
I am originally from Denver, CO!

Who are your biggest artistic influences?
I really love Jewel, Nirvana, Liz Phair, the Beatles, and a number of folk, pop, edm, classic rock, hip hop, and alternative artists.

Tell me about how your creation part begins, and how is your workflow.
Usually ideas just come to me, and I start writing them down or recording them, and flow from there. Usually I have an idea of the next things I want to bring into being, and I focus most on those next things that I want to see in the world. Once I have my idea(s), I will sit down and work through them, or sometimes I develop them on the spot as I go- I write a lot while I am hiking, or on the way to different places.

Where do you find inspiration?
I feel constantly inspired! The world around me, the people I interact with, the new music and creative things I come into contact with- all of these inspire me all the time!

When is your favorite time of day to create your music?
All day, every day! Can’t pick one. I don’t think I’ll get tired of it.

Describe how art is essential to society nowadays
To me, art and aesthetics are very important to our wellbeing, our overall lives. Aesthetics really impact how we see places and brands, interact with them, and are influenced by them. For example, aesthetically-pleasing and well-designed rooms have demonstrated positive benefits on health. Aesthetics can really shape so much of our society and how we interact with our environment – incorporating good art and aesthetics can really turn things around for people and places.

What motivates you to create?
I just feel like the things I want to see in the world or bring to fruition are always pouring out of me, like a stream. I just always think of different things I want to see/create. Love. There are so many things I want to see in the world and create.

How do you define success as a music artist?
One measure of success, and maybe the most important one, is having a large, beneficial impact on the world, on the people that interact with your art / listen to your music.

Does art help you in other areas of your life?
I think so. I am a happier person when I am around art or great design. I like to stop by galleries, furniture stores, and cool fashion stores- these all make me happy.
Art has also helped me just become more developed creatively – I am more able to think creatively in different areas of my life, and my creative skills in different parts of life are more well-honed now, I believe.

How do you develop your art skills?
I practice my singing and guitar every day. I perform almost every day. I take tutorials online to hone my music production skills. I write pretty constantly. Ideas are flowing all the time. I sing and play with others, and attend others’ live performances or art exhibitions. These are some of the ways I develop my skills. I also seek out new music for learning and inspiration.

What is your next move?
I will definitely be dropping more songs in the near future, hopefully many more! I have a ton of songs I am writing and working on that are at various stages. I have some fun brand photoshoots coming up, I have a TV appearance that was filmed and is currently being edited, I am booking gigs for my national tour, and I may sign with a record label soon.

Where will we see you in 5 years?
Hopefully taking over the world! Haha. On world tour(s) for music. Exhibiting art. On the big screen. In magazines.
