The uprising artist “Lucidvisixn” released the hit track, “Till The Sun Dies” on Spotify

Where are you from?

Born in Jefferson City, Missouri, grew up in Apple Valley, California, moved back to The Lake Of the Ozarks, Missouri, and now reside in Williston, North Dakota.

Who are your biggest artistic influences?

Juice Wrld and Xxxtentacion are probably my biggest influences as far as overall sound and work flow goes, but I’m a big fan of southern and northern rappers such as Pop Smoke, Polo G, and Scorey.

Tell me about how your creation part begins, and how is your workflow.

I try not to force a project. A beat has to speak to me, almost as if the instrumental is suggesting an idea. If the process of making a song feels like work, then I genuinely believe that those who listen will feel that. Music is a universal language and can portray how you were feeling during its creation. I’ll just sit in my studio and listen to beats, whether it be on YouTube or from producers who have reached out, until I feel the song is right.

Where do you find inspiration?

Everyday life whether it be the songs I’ve listened to in the day, or my current experience. I think that life is what you make of it, and if you allow yourself to truly take in every moment you experience, you will find limitless inspiration for all mediums of art.

When is your favorite time of day to create your music?

Whenever the opportunity presents itself. I’m always mulling over ideas for future songs and listening to beats. Over the years, my brain has hardwired itself to have the hunger for music, whether intake or production.

Describe how art is essential to society nowadays

As stated time and time again, music is the universal language. Bob Marley stopped a war with his music. Words are easy to say, but to be able to produce something anyone can FEEL is something special that can only be achieved through music.

What motivates you to create?

Life in general. Remembering the talk of how silly my dreams sounded when I was younger yet how achievable they are in present time. Seeing others inspired by my work makes it all worth it and gives me that extra drive.

How do you define success as a music artist?

I believe success is a state in which you define. You know you’re successful when you get there. The dreaded feeling of being unfulfilled can plague your mind, but if you allow yourself to take a step back and see how far you’ve come, you’ll realize that success is the distance you’ve created between who you were and who you are.

9.Does art help you in other areas of your life?

Art only helps in all aspects. A way to convey emotion in ways that words cannot. When you’re able to feed your mental health by getting your thoughts processed and putting them out into the world for the chance to help others, it gives you that high of fulfillment even if just to ride it until the next time.

10.How do you develop your art skills?

Trial and error always. Growth in any lane requires working on whatever skill needed for the task. Thankfully, I’m not the same artist I was at the beginning of my journey. Evolving with every song. The true poison of life is complacency. If you’re okay with not changing your ways and bettering yourself, you will forever be stuck.

11.What is your next move?

The same as my last. Producing products I can honestly say I’m proud of, and evolving with every step. Getting better everyday and proving to those who said I couldn’t, that I did.

12.Where will we see you in 5 years?

Better than I am now, but not the best I could be. Still working hard, no matter where I fall in the industry ladder at that time. No matter how far down the road I try and look, I will always find myself hungry for what’s next.
