The uprising artist “Mila Nabours” has released the new single “Feel So Right” on Spotify!

Where are you from?
Born and raised in Los Angeles California

Who are your biggest artistic influences?
The Weeknd, Chase Atlantic, Lizzy Mcalpine, Tame Impala, & The Neighborhood

Tell me about how your creation part begins, and how is your workflow.
I begin the process with my producer, who creates my tracks. We discuss what kind of song I want to make, the vibe to it, etc. Once we’ve gone back and forth and have a track we love, I get into a writing session with various talented writers and we begin to dive into potential storyline options for the song based on current events I’m going through, or emotions I want to portray. We start blurting lyrics onto a page, and steadily the mess of ideas turns into a composed series of lyrical phrases. All while doing this, we’re singing out loud and brainstorming melodies that feel right with the track. Before we know iy, phrase by phrase, the song is complete and I get into the studio to lay down the first draft. It’s such a privilege to collaborate and embrace my artistic side with an amazing producer and incredible writers, who help me transform my vision into life.

Where do you find inspiration?
An assortment of different singers, artists, and my own parents who are classically trained musicians whom I admire.

When is your favorite time of day to create your music?
I’m a true night owl, so night sessions are by far my favorite. I feel the most artistically driven during this time, being that my mind is more unlocked.

Describe how art is essential to society nowadays
Art is an essential part of human emotion. What I mean by that is, when you listen to powerful music and explore good art, your mind feels more full and engaged. This isn’t just the case for artists, which is why it is a common pattern that music is a form of healing and source of happiness. No matter where you go, a form of art is present in one way or another, and I find that very beautiful.

What motivates you to create?
I’m motivated by my true love and passion for writing and singing, which is the sole reason for why I do it. Hearing the final version of my songs is a sensational feeling and it makes me even more excited for the next session.

How do you define success as a music artist?
Success is not defined by money or fame. Success is defined by the emotion and pleasure it brings when you see you’ve been able to connect with others and make them feel something when listening to your creations. The best feeling is knowing you’re doing something you love, and having that feeling being projected into your music for others to experience.

Does art help you in other areas of your life?
Absolutely. Having art is my source of comfort and expression, which keeps me feeling well rounded and emotionally connected to the world in a sense. It can bring a range of sensations, varying from over the moon happiness, to more dark feelings that we all go through at one point or another. Art makes you appreciate those feelings and everything in between, which is why I feel it’s so fulfilling and important.

How do you develop your art skills?
Time, patience, and passion. Those key components are really the foundation for the development of art in my perspective. Time, referring to the continual process that shouldn’t be rushed, but appreciated. Patience, and being able to work through the frustrating moments when something isn’t feeling or sounding like you think it should. Finally, and most importantly, passion. The number one element that really is gonna drive you to make your best work, and the determining factor of how powerful your art will be.

What is your next move?
I’ve just released my newest song, “feel so right,” and am in the process of coordinating and planning the shoot of the music video for it. Other than that, I have a couple performances coming up and a lot of more acting shoots around the corner, now that school’s out!

Where will we see you in 5 years?
I hope to be continuing to do what I love, collaborating with new artists, and maybe even connecting with new audiences around the world with some nation wide shows. That would be a dream. Time will tell, and what’s meant to be is meant to be.
