NEW FRESH MUSIC FROM “AYDRA” ON SPOTIFY

AydrA underwent a dynamic journey starting in 1991 as Hydra, joined by Francesco Olivi and Mauro Pacetti. They rebranded as AydrA and recorded the “Penance Stare” demo in 1993, showcasing growth. Significant changes came in 1994 with Nicola Raffaeli joining as drummer, and the recording of “Psycho Pain Control,” expanding their musical horizons with Marcello Lammoglia’s contribution.

1995 saw lineup shifts and label searches. Despite a canceled contract, they featured in the “Scream from Italy 2” compilation. The pivotal moment arrived in 1995 with a contract with Dawn of Sadness, leading to the release of “Psycho Pain Control” in 1996.

From 1997 to 1999, they focused on promoting “Icon of Sin” after self-producing it due to label issues. Key moments followed in 2001 with album promotion and new material creation, notably involving Andrea Mastromarco. Lineup changes occurred in 2002 and 2003, leading to “Hyperlogical Non-Sense” recorded with support from Rising Works and Labyrinth’s Frank Andiver.

Subsequent years brought more lineup changes until their disbandment in 2007 due to member departures. However, a reunion proposal in 2012 led to a new lineup forming, including Luca Calò, Giuseppe Cardamone, and Marco Bianchella. They toured in 2014 with Infernal Poetry, later focusing on musical composition from 2015 to 2023.
